Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, you will be greeted and driven to the picturesque hill station of Shillong. Your journey begins with a stop at the stunning Umiam Lake (Barapani), a vast, serene reservoir nestled amidst rolling hills. After taking in the magnificent views, you will proceed to your hotel in Shillong for check-in, with the evening free to relax and enjoy the cool mountain air.

After breakfast, set out for Cherrapunji, renowned as one of the wettest places on earth. The drive itself is spectacular, with stops at the Mawkdok Dympep Valley viewpoint. You will be awe-struck by the Nohsngithiang Falls, also known as the Seven Sisters Falls, a stunning cascade representing the unity of the Northeastern states. Explore the ancient limestone formations of the Arwah and Mawsmai Caves and visit the Eco Park for a potential glimpse across the border into the Sylhet plains of Bangladesh before returning to Shillong.

Today, you visit Mawlynnong, celebrated as Asia's cleanest village. Walk through its immaculate lanes, admire the ingenious living root bridge, and see the curious natural wonder of a boulder balancing on a rock. Later, proceed to the town of Dawki on the India-Bangladesh border. The highlight is a mesmerizing boat ride on the crystal-clear Umngot River, where the water is so transparent the boats appear to be floating in mid-air. Return to Shillong for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out and begin your scenic drive to the world-famous Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the primary habitat of the Indian one-horned rhinoceros. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening, visit a local orchid park to enjoy a captivating cultural dance performance showcasing the traditions of the region's diverse tribes.

Rise early for an exciting jeep safari deep into the grasslands and forests of Kaziranga. Keep your eyes peeled for the iconic rhino, wild elephants, swamp deer, wild buffalo, and, if you're fortunate, the royal Bengal tiger. The park is also a birdwatcher's paradise. Return to the hotel for breakfast before checking out and driving to Guwahati, Assam's largest city. Check into your hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, if time permits, you will visit the sacred Kamakhya Temple, an important Shakti shrine, the historic Saraighat Bridge over the Brahmaputra River, and the peaceful Basistha Ashram Temple. Afterwards, you will be escorted to Guwahati Airport for your departure, marking the end of your memorable Northeastern escape.
