Day Wise Itinerary

Your spiritual journey begins as you are welcomed at Haridwar or Dehraun. Settle into your vehicle for a scenic drive through the winding mountain roads, heading towards the tranquil town of Barkot. This initial drive acclimatizes you to the Himalayan atmosphere, building anticipation for the sacred experiences that await over the next nine days.

An early start leads you to Janki Chatti, the gateway to Yamunotri. From here, you embark on a trek (by foot, pony, or palanquin) to the source of the Yamuna River. At the temple, participate in the sacred ritual of dipping rice in the thermal waters of Surya Kund. The day is filled with devotion as you witness the mesmerizing aarti offered to the goddess and the Divya Shila before returning to Barkot for the night.

After breakfast, you journey to the town of Uttarkashi, often called the "Kashi of the North." The day is dedicated to a gentler pace, allowing for reflection. Upon arrival, you will visit the ancient Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, which adds another layer of spiritual depth to your pilgrimage before an overnight stay.

Today, you drive to one of the holiest sites in Hinduism—Gangotri. Set against a dramatic backdrop of towering peaks, the temple marks the origin of the River Ganga. Offer prayers at the sanctum sanctorum and don't miss the sight of the natural rock Shivling, visible underwater in the river. The powerful serenity of this place is unforgettable before you drive back to Uttarkashi.

Prepare for the longest road journey of the tour as you travel deeper into the heart of the Kedar Valley towards Guptkashi. This day is about transition, offering spectacular views of the changing landscapes. Guptkashi serves as a crucial base for the upcoming trek to Kedarnath, and you will rest here for the night, gathering energy for the adventure ahead.

The pinnacle of your journey begins as you travel to Sonprayag and then to Gaurikund, the traditional starting point of the Kedarnath trek. The 18-kilometer path is a true test of devotion, traversed on foot or with the help of a pony/palanquin. Upon reaching the majestic Kedarnath shrine, nestled at over 11,000 feet, the feeling of accomplishment and divinity is overwhelming. You will stay overnight in basic accommodation near the temple.

Embrace the morning serenity with another darshan at the Kedarnath temple and a visit to the protective Bhairav Baba temple. After absorbing the powerful energies of the place, you begin your descent back to Sonprayag. Here, your vehicle awaits to drive you back to Guptkashi, where a comfortable hotel and a well-deserved rest await you.

Today's drive takes you to the final Dham, Badrinath. En route, you will stop at Joshimath to visit the sacred Narsingh Temple. Upon arrival in Badrinath, you will check into your hotel. The evening is free for you to relax and feel the distinct spiritual vibe of this holy town dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Before dawn, partake in the purifying dip in the Tapt Kund hot springs. Then, proceed for the profound darshan of Lord Badri Vishal. Perform rituals for ancestors at Brahma Kapal and explore nearby mystical sites like Mana—the last village before the Tibetan border, Vyas Cave, and Bhim Kund. In the afternoon, commence your journey back, halting for the night in Rudraprayag.

After a final breakfast in the mountains, you are driven to Dehradun Airport. As you descend from the Himalayas, you carry with you not just memories, but the profound peace and blessings of the Char Dham, marking the end of a truly transformative pilgrimage.
